Front Desk Receptionist – Primary CareCoastal Health – Orange Park, FLFull-Time | In-PersonCoastal Health is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our Primary Care team in Orange Park. The Front Desk Receptionist is often the first and last point of contact for our patients, making excellent customer service, professionalism, and a positive attitude essential to this role.We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, works well in a fast-paced medical office, and can effectively manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional mannerCheck patients in and out for appointmentsVerify and update patient demographic and insurance informationCollect copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and outstanding balancesAnswer and route incoming telephone calls appropriatelySchedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointmentsProvide patients with necessary forms, paperwork, and appointment informationVerify insurance eligibility and assist with insurance-related questionsMaintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)Scan and upload documents into patient chartsProcess incoming and outgoing faxes and other correspondenceAssist with referrals and other front-office administrative duties as neededMaintain an organized and welcoming reception and waiting areaCommunicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and other departmentsProtect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance at all timesProvide compassionate and professional service to every patientAssist the office team with additional duties as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious medical office or front desk experience preferredPrimary Care experience is a plusExperience with EMR/EHR systems preferredKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferredStrong computer and data-entry skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional telephone etiquetteStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer service skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient informationDependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a teamThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is friendly, compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
