$1290.10/week - Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Tech manages the sterilization and preparation of medical equipment to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare standards. They support the surgical and clinical teams by maintaining sterile instruments and processing supplies efficiently. Responsibilities: Disassemble, clean, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and equipment following established protocols. Inspect tools for damage or wear, and report defects for maintenance or replacement. Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and equipment logs. Adhere to safety and infection control standards at all times. Collaborate with clinical staff to fulfill instrument and equipment requests promptly. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry practices and certifications. Qualifications: Hold a high school diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited sterile processing program. Possess at least 1 year of recent, relevant sterile processing experience. Maintain a valid CA State License and upload Nursys verification within 2 weeks. Hold current BLS certification and applicable sterile processing certifications (CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA) with valid expiration dates. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict sterilization procedures.
