Business Director, Strategy As a Business Director at Capital One, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You’ll collaborate with world‑class professionals to develop and test strategies that impact the bottom line and foster continuous learning and innovation. Responsibilities Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands. Lead and coach multiple analysts; mentor associates to develop and retain talent. Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for lending products; lead product‑level data modeling and analytics. Lead direct‑to‑consumer marketing efforts for select products and strategic intent for retail‑channel distributed products; build insights to inform customer experience design and breakthrough technology concepts. Drive improvements in credit performance by connecting future credit trends to historical behavior, building risk models, and testing hypotheses with rigorous analysis. Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy while overseeing multiple concurrent projects and programs. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—IT, Sales, Operations, Finance— to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. At least 4 years of quantitative analysis experience. At least 4 years of qualitative analysis experience. At least 2 years of people management experience. At least 2 years of project management experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree. 2+ years of experience in financial services. 1+ year of consulting experience. Compensation & Benefits Full‑time annual salaries are location dependent. For example: McLean, VA – $230,400 to $263,000; Richmond, VA – $209,500 to $239,100; New York, NY – $251,400 to $286,900; Riverwoods, IL – $209,500 to $239,100; Chicago, IL – $209,500 to $239,100. The role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation and comprehensive health, financial, and other benefits.
