Project Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of construction projects from mobilisation through to completion. This role will provide strong field leadership, coordinate day-to-day site activities, and ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The successful candidate will act as the key on-site point of contact for project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining construction schedules, coordinating trades and site resources, reviewing drawings and specifications, monitoring progress, and identifying and resolving issues before they affect delivery. You will lead daily coordination meetings, maintain accurate site records, track materials and equipment, inspect completed work, and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly. A strong focus on health and safety is essential, including conducting site orientations, toolbox talks, inspections, and risk assessments while ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation and project procedures. You will also support cost control, change management, reporting, commissioning, closeout, and handover activities.

Applicants should have significant experience supervising construction projects, ideally across commercial, industrial, civil, or infrastructure environments. A relevant trade qualification, diploma, or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings, using project scheduling and reporting tools, and coordinating multiple work packages in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication, organisation, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to build positive working relationships and hold teams accountable for performance. A demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement will be highly valued. The role may require travel between project sites and flexible working hours to meet project demands.
