Locum Anesthesiologist – Boise, Idaho

365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Boise, Idaho. This assignment offers a diverse case mix with a combination of weekday coverage, limited night call, and weekend call responsibilities within a collaborative anesthesia practice.

Providers available for 1.5 to 2 weeks per month are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday • 50 hours guaranteed per week • Typical workweek: 50–60 hours with call • Night call coverage: 1–2 weeknights per month • Weekend in-house call: approximately one weekend per month • Ongoing coverage beginning July 2026

Call Responsibilities

• In-house weeknight call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM • Post-call day off provided • In-house weekend call coverage • Combination of Friday evening and weekend shifts • Call schedule integrated into the anesthesia team

Practice Overview

• Large regional medical center • EMR: Epic • Broad surgical case mix • Collaborative anesthesia care team • Flexible practice model • High-volume perioperative services

Clinical Responsibilities

• Pre-operative evaluations • Intraoperative anesthesia management • Post-anesthesia care • Regional anesthesia procedures • Independent case management • Medical direction and care team supervision when appropriate • Participation in call coverage

Case Mix

Providers should be comfortable with:

• General anesthesia
• Regional anesthesia
• Orthopedic procedures
• General surgery
• Vascular surgery
• Urology
• ENT procedures
• Gastroenterology procedures
• Gynecologic procedures
• Routine pediatric cases

Exclusions

• No cardiac anesthesia • No transplant cases • No complex pediatric cases

Practice Environment

• Ability to perform independent cases • Care team model available • Supportive perioperative staff • Modern surgical facilities • Balanced mix of supervision and hands-on anesthesia practice

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology • Active Idaho License or Active IMLC • Active DEA and CSR • Comfortable performing regional anesthesia • Able to work independently or within a supervision model • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required • Clean malpractice and background history
