WHO YOU ARE:

You are a friendly, energetic, team player which serves as the senior Human Resources leader for Muckleshoot Indian Bingo (MIB), providing operational oversight and organizational leadership across all HR disciplines. Under general administrative direction, this role aligns human capital strategy with business objectives and leads to the implementation and execution of HR programs, policies, and initiatives. The position oversees employee relations, total rewards, talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, compliance, and HR operations, while leveraging data-driven insights to strengthen workforce effectiveness, engagement, and retention. The HR Manager also leads the continued transformation of the HR function by evaluating current practices, improving processes, strengthening team effectiveness, and building a more adaptable and service-focused department. As a member of the leadership team, the HR Manager serves as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Provides strategic leadership in the development and execution of short- and long-range human capital plans; analyzes workforce data and trends to inform decision-making and collaborates cross-functionally to align HR initiatives with organizational objectives and operational needs.
• Serves as a member of the leadership team, contributing to organizational strategy, decision-making, culture, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Oversees HR and Administrative operations and staff; sets direction, develops team capability, and ensures accountability through effective hiring, coaching, performance management, employee development, and disciplinary actions.
• Directs and optimizes the full-cycle talent acquisition process to attract and retain a high-quality workforce; establishes and enforces standardized hiring practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with Tribal preference requirements.
• Serves as a strategic advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance, and organizational matters; provide guidance to support sound decision-making and consistent application of policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Oversees and resolves complex employee relations matters, including investigations of complaints and grievances, ensuring timely, fair, appropriately documented, and compliant outcomes that support a respectful and productive work environment.
• Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures; ensures organizational compliance with all applicable Tribal, federal, state, and local laws and regulations and applicable gaming and regulatory requirements.
• Administers performance management systems that drive accountability and development; partners with leaders to address performance issues, support employee growth, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Oversees the administration of compensation programs and partners with appropriate organizational resources to ensure consistent application of compensation practices.
• Establishes and maintains HR systems and records management practices that ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Oversees the administration of employee benefits programs; ensures effective communication, accurate implementation, and alignment with organizational goals and employee needs.
• Develops and manages the HR budget; monitors expenditures and implements cost-control strategies to ensure responsible and effective use of resources.
• Establishes and monitors key HR metrics and organizational performance indicators to evaluate effectiveness, inform strategy, and drive continuous improvement.
• Leads the continued transformation and development of the Human Resources function by evaluating current practices, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing sustainable solutions that strengthen efficiency, consistency, adaptability, team effectiveness, and service to the organization.
• Partners with leadership to support Tribal Preference and identify development, career growth, and succession opportunities for Tribal team members.
• Serves as a change leader by supporting organizational initiatives and helping leaders and team members successfully adapt to changes in processes, programs, and business needs.
• Ensures the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and data protection for all organizational and personnel information in compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, public or business administration, employment law, psychology or a closely related field required;
• Plus, Seven (7) years of mid-management and supervisory experience over a major function or program.
• Tribal HR Professional (THRP), Professional in HR (PHR), or Society for Human Resources Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
• Drug-screening certification.
• Maintains annual HIPAA certification.

Since we first opened on January 21, 1985, Muckleshoot Bingo has helped the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe launch a period of economic prosperity. We have grown from our humble beginnings as a small bingo tent located where our sister property Muckleshoot Casino now stands, into a state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot entertainment space, boasting two floors with over 1,000 bingo seats and over 500 of the hottest Vegas-style slot machines, and annually employ over 200 people from across the greater Auburn area.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing functions of his/her job and in areas monitored by security or surveillance cameras. Work in bingo operations and/or internal or external environments occasionally. Muckleshoot Bingo is a smoking environment. Exposure to secondhand smoke, moderate to high noise levels, bright lights, and fluctuating temperatures/weather conditions are common.
