SUMMARY
The Director of Benefits will lead employee benefits and Workers' Compensation programs for an organization operating across 48 states. This role requires an attorney with strong Workers' Compensation experience and the ability to manage complex, multi-state programs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Lead the strategy and administration of employee benefits and Workers' Compensation programs across 48 states.
• Oversee health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, wellness, leave, and voluntary benefit programs.
• Lead annual renewals and open enrollment, including vendor negotiations, plan evaluation, and employee communications.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, and Workers' Compensation regulations.
• Manage benefits vendors, consultants, budgets, forecasting, and cost-containment initiatives.
• Partner with senior leadership, Finance, HR, and legal resources on benefits strategy, compliance, and risk management.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex Workers' Compensation and benefits matters.

WHAT YOU BRING
• Juris Doctor (JD) and attorney background required.
• Workers' Compensation experience required.
• Experience managing Workers' Compensation and/or benefits programs across 48 states.
• 5+ years of Workers' Compensation and/or benefits administration experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or strategic role.
• Strong knowledge of benefits regulations, compliance, financial analysis, and vendor management.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
• FMLA and leave-of-absence experience.
