Schedule: 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote

Employment Type: 3-6 Month Contract-to-Hire (Eligible for conversion as early as 3 months)

Pay Rate: $40-45/hour (W-2)

Overview

Our client is seeking a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst to support and optimize the organization's People Technology ecosystem, with a primary focus on Workday HCM . This role serves as a critical liaison between HR, business stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure HR systems operate efficiently, securely, and effectively.

The HRIS Analyst will be responsible for system administration, business process configuration, reporting, troubleshooting, data integrity, testing, and process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an HRIS professional who enjoys solving complex system challenges, improving user experiences, and driving operational efficiency through technology.

What You'll Be Working On

Workday Administration & Configuration

• Configure, maintain, and support Workday HCM modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Time, and Learning.
• Execute business process configurations, condition rules, calculated fields, and security assignments.
• Maintain and enhance Workday functionality to support evolving business needs.
• Support system enhancements, implementations, and feature rollouts.

HR Systems Support & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, defects, and user-reported incidents.
• Serve as a Tier 2 escalation point for complex Workday-related issues.
• Analyze root causes and implement long-term solutions to recurring problems.
• Monitor support trends and identify opportunities for process improvements and user education.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain high standards of HR data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
• Perform data audits, reconciliations, and validation checks.
• Support mass data loads using Workday EIBs and other data management tools.
• Build and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions that support business decision-making.

Process Improvement & Optimization

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Support standardization of HR processes across business units.
• Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Recommend automation opportunities that improve efficiency and user experience.

Testing & Release Management

• Participate in Workday bi-annual release cycles (R1/R2).
• Execute functional, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Validate system changes prior to deployment.
• Document test scripts, testing results, and defect resolution activities.
• Support change management and business readiness efforts.

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support for HR users and business stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, business processes, known issues, and resolutions.
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, IT, and business teams.
• Stay current on Workday functionality, best practices, and emerging HR technology trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 2-4+ years of HRIS, Workday, or HR technology experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM environments.
• Experience with business process configuration, security administration, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Workday Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Performance Management, or Learning modules.
• Knowledge of Workday integrations and data management processes.
• Advanced Excel and reporting experience.
• Experience with HR data audits, compliance reporting, and data governance initiatives.
• Prior experience supporting enterprise-level HR systems in a multi-location environment.
