The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of litigation experience in municipal and/or employment law. We offer hybrid flexibility while maintaining a tight knit, collaborative firm. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a variety of complex matters, such as employment law, zoning and land use matters, workforce management, civil rights violations, and more Represent clients in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations, effectively defending their interests and achieving favorable outcomes. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support decision-making and policy development. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate closely with public officials, staff, and external stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and practical legal advice. Stay abreast of legislative changes, court decisions, and emerging issues to ensure our clients are always well-informed and compliant. Promote transparency, accountability, and good governance through the provision of sound legal counsel. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment and/or municipal law. Demonstrated ability to handle a diverse caseload, manage complex legal issues, and achieve positive results for clients. Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders. Interested in hearing more?
