Internal Medicine Physician

Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive adult care, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, and infections. You will order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, deliver preventive care including vaccines and screenings, and manage complex cases primarily in outpatient settings. Lead patient-centered medical care for individuals and families across all life stages, positively impacting community health outcomes. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, provide preventive care, manage chronic diseases, perform minor procedures, and coordinate specialist care. Provide coverage when other physician employees are unavailable due to vacations, holidays, illness, or professional activities. Accept proportional share of after‑hours call coverage within the employer’s practice. Arrange coverage for patients in hospitals when they are admitted for care in such facilities. Schedule flexible clinic hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Additionally, Tennessee has no state income tax. Job Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution. Board-Certified or Board-eligible in Internal Medicine. AHA BLS Certification. Ability to obtain an active medical license and DEA registration in Tennessee.
