Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Document patient progress in electronic health records accurately
• Participate in cases and rounds with hospital staff
• Address patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Ensure compliance with medical standards and protocols

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Internal Medicine
• Valid medical license in the state of Tennessee
• Minimum of 1-3 years of hospitalist or relevant clinical experience
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation

Schedule: 7a-7p, 6p-6a or 7p-7a

No call required

Average Daily Census: 160 patients

Average Daily Rounding: 18-22 patients

Will round in the ICU

Vent management required

Support Staff: NP, Intensivist NP, Intensivist MD, and on-site administrative support

Must be board-certified

Paid travel and expenses
