Associate Chief Counsel (Finance & Management)

The Associate Chief Counsel (Finance & Management) supports the administrative, financial, and managerial programs of the Office of Chief Counsel and provides advice to the Chief Counsel and Deputy Chief Counsel on all management matters for the organization nationwide. F&M also has field responsibility for all administrative functions and personnel across the country. The Management Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of analytical, advisory, and other administrative functions related to the management of the Office. As a Management Analyst, you will:

• Gather data from different sub-systems and spreadsheets, analyze and generate complex ad hoc and recurring reports for use by the Deputy Chief Counsel and the FM staff. Review and analyze generated reports used by FM to recommend methods to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of FM work processes and programs;
• Interact with operating and supervisory personnel for the purpose of conducting research of reports, records, operating regulations, and management needs;
• Exercise initiative in problem solving, dealing with time-sensitive issues, and devising methods and procedures for operations; and
• Serve on task forces, ad hoc committees, and conduct detailed analysis of the FM programs and/or systems studied. Participate in operational reviews and audits of management systems and other activities for the purpose of determining problem areas which detract from effective and efficient delivery of work products and services and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
