Global Multi Asset Manager with $75B of AUM across Private Equity, Real Estate and Private Credit is searching for their Director, Strategic Finance and Transformation.

This professional will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer and play a key leadership role in supporting the firm's finance organization. This position offers broad exposure across fund finance, management company finance, forecasting, technology transformation, process optimization, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance & CFO Support

• Serve as a strategic partner to the CFO, helping drive high-priority financial, operational, and organizational initiatives.
\n
• Lead high-impact projects across management company finance, forecasting, technology, operations, and other areas requiring focused leadership.
\n
• Develop rigorous financial analyses, business cases, and actionable recommendations for executive management.
\n
• Develop clear, decision-oriented materials for senior leadership, executive committees, and Board-level discussions.
\n
• Help shape long-term financial plans and translate strategic priorities into executable initiatives.
\n

Forecasting & Business Planning

\n
• Own and continuously enhance management fee, revenue, expense, and cash flow forecasting models.
\n
• Drive budgeting and forecasting processes across the management company and corporate functions.
\n
• Build scenario analyses that assess the impact of fundraising, portfolio activity, business growth, and strategic investments.
\n
• Analyze performance and variances, identify emerging trends and risks, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
\n

Fund Finance Oversight

\n
• Partner with finance leadership to strengthen and document financial policies, processes, controls, and operating practices.
\n
• Evaluate the financial and reporting implications of complex transactions in partnership with accounting subject-matter experts.
\n
• Analyze fund performance and operating metrics, including IRR and MOIC, to support management reporting and decision-making.
\n
• Contribute financial insight to valuation, liquidity, and reporting discussions without serving as the technical accounting lead.
\n

Expense Allocation Governance

\n
• Support oversight and continued enhancement of the expense allocation process, methodology, and control framework.
\n
• Review allocations across funds, accounts, and management entities for consistency, transparency, and alignment with governing requirements.
\n
• Partner with Accounting, Compliance, Legal, Accounts Payable, and Operations to strengthen governance, documentation, controls, and audit readiness.
\n

Technology & Transformation

\n
• Lead the modernization of finance through technology, automation, analytics, AI, and process redesign.
\n
• Partner with Technology, Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to improve workflows, reporting, data quality, and decision support.
\n
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce operational risk, and improve scalability.
\n
• Drive the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of finance systems and data initiatives, including tools such as Anaplan, Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, and Python.
\n

Organizational Leadership

\n
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from problem definition and business case development through execution and measurable results.
\n
• Step into complex or underdeveloped areas, assess root causes, and establish practical priorities for improvement.
\n
• Develop compelling business cases and practical implementation roadmaps for strategic and operational enhancements.
\n
• Operate as a player-coach, mentor

Qualifications:

\n
• 6-12 years of relevant experience in private equity, private credit, hedge funds, asset management, public accounting, or finance consulting.
\n
• Strong understanding of private fund structures and economics.
\n
• Experience with management fee calculations and forecasting.
\n
• Experience reviewing fund financial statements and related reporting.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and drive results.
\n
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Strong executive communication and presentation abilities.
\n
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
\n
• Acumen, interest and ability to advance AI led transformation.
