Billing Specialist IFully Remote • Allied Benefit SystemsOverviewSalary Range $20.00 - $21.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Category Accounting & FinanceDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY The Billing Specialist I will assist in file imports using multiple systems, state reporting calculation and filing, multiple types of client invoicing, client setups/changes, client audits and creating/maintaining reports.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProcess and submit accurate and timely invoices to clientsFollow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepanciesCommunicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment statusMaintain accurate records of all billing and collection activitiesAssist with month end closing and reportingCollaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billingSet up new accounts for our new book of businessChange accounts for existing book of businessAudit accounts to ensure setup/changes were allocated correctlyCreate/Maintain Excel spreadsheets to track services/activity for several clientsMaintain Access Databases to track services/activity for several clientsOther related duties as assignedEDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS2+ years of experience in billing and collectionsExcellent communication and problem solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and accounting softwareAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and accuracyPOSITION COMPETENCIESAccountabilityCommunicationCustomer Service OrientationFunctional/Technical SkillsQuality FocusTime and Task ManagementPHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is a standard desk role requiring extended sitting and computer work.WORK ENVIRONMENTRemoteHere at Allied, we believe that great talent can thrive from anywhere.
