WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Read and understand a bill of material and pull the appropriate coil stock to complete the customer order.
• Utilize cutting table, pneumatic sheers, electron welding equipment, grinders, and grit blasters to produce custom band saw blades that meet the highest quality requirements.
• Inspect and test welds for stress cracks or grinding/weld imperfections.
• Inspect and verify that all completed blades meet the customer’s specifications.
• Label and box final product for shipping.
• General maintenance of welding equipment and housekeeping in the shop area.

Requirements: Education, Knowledge, Training, Experience, Licenses, Certification

• High school diploma or GED certification, including English speaking ability.
• Basic education in or knowledge of electricity, pneumatic sheers, grinders, and the ability to understand the process of electron welding using an Ideal welding machine.
• The ability to hand grind weld slag on manufactured band saw blades to a smooth, seamless finish as well as creating an even tooth match, plus clean gullets.
• The ability to operate hand tools such as drills, saws, conduit purchases, wire strippers and crimpers, as well as electrical test equipment for potential cross training as a CPG Technician. Ideal candidate will learn how to operate other department machinery such as a CNC modification machine as well as assemble and wire electrical components such as transformers, motors, limit switches, pushbutton stations, and solenoid assemblies.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn limited operational functions.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. at least three feet above the ground.
• Correctable eyesight in order to read BOM’s and produce a quality product.
• Stand on concrete surface for extended length of time.
• Bending and twisting motions required.
