General Production

This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire at a company in Jackson, WI. Wage is $19.00 per hour. Hours are 2:00pm to 10:15pm (Mon-Fri).

General Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform all operations necessary to meet customer needs and support production requirements.
• Provide support across all job classifications and production areas as needed.
• Learn new operations, processes, and procedures to support manufacturing demands.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, quality standards, and established procedures.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and support efficient production operations.
• Load, secure, and unload metal parts or stock from machines, tables, chucks, and holding fixtures.
• Feed materials into automatic metalworking machines and remove finished parts at the appropriate time.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality, maximize uptime, and meet production specifications.
• Visually inspect products for surface defects and obvious dimensional issues.
• Perform basic measurements, mathematical calculations, and accurate production and labor time recording.
• Replace tools as needed and assist with machining, sub-assembly, and die-casting finishing operations.
• Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting as experience and qualifications allow.
• Set up and operate die-casting dies, mechanical systems, and auxiliary equipment in manual and automatic modes as qualified.
• Identify and resolve production issues to maintain equipment performance and product quality.
• Support the Supervisor with production requirements, cross-functional coordination, and employee concerns.
• Train new employees on die-casting methods, procedures, and production processes as needed.
• Inspect casting areas at least twice per shift and perform required gauging on production lines.
• Report unsafe conditions, quality concerns, and equipment issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain productive and efficient operations.

General Production Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to perform duties across multiple production areas and job classifications.
• Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurement tasks.
• Ability to identify visible product defects and follow quality specifications.
• Ability to safely operate production machinery and handle metal parts and materials.
• Ability to assist with machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting as experience and training are gained.
• Knowledge of die-casting operations, machinery, mechanical systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to make appropriate operational decisions based on machine capabilities and die-casting knowledge.
• Ability to train employees, communicate effectively, and work cooperatively with team members and supervisors.
• Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to follow established work instructions, quality requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
