The Electrician Journeyman will perform skilled electrical work on commercial and industrial projects, either independently or as part of a small team. This role involves installing wiring, maintaining electrical systems, and troubleshooting issues while ensuring strict compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. The electrician will interpret blueprints and use a range of hand and advanced diagnostic tools to deliver high-quality repair and installation services, with minimal travel required.
Responsibilities
- Install wiring systems and electrical components in commercial and industrial settings
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs efficiently and safely
- Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
- Conduct equipment testing and safety enforcement
- Interpret blueprints to guide wiring and installation tasks
- Use standard hand tools and advanced diagnostic tools
- Collaborate within a small team or work independently on assigned projects
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical work
- Technical training or apprenticeship in electrical work
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License
- Proficient in electrical wiring, blueprint reading, and electrical code knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety compliance
- Effective communication and time management abilities
