Senior Purchasing Manager

Overview We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations. In this role, you will oversee sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services essential for our manufacturing and supply chain processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about procurement management, possesses strong negotiation skills, and has a deep understanding of ERP systems like SAP and Oracle EBS. Duties Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize procurement activities across categories, including manufacturing materials and logistics services. Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as Federal Acquisition Regulations. Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, improve quality, and ensure reliable supply chain performance. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to streamline procurement processes, track purchase orders, and analyze procurement data for continuous improvement. Conduct root cause analysis on supply disruptions or quality issues to identify underlying problems and implement corrective actions. Oversee procurement management activities including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and materials management to support production planning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams like logistics, manufacturing, and quality management to align procurement strategies with overall business goals. Skills Extensive experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement management. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing advantageous contracts. Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including sourcing, logistics, and inventory control. Familiarity with category management techniques and procurement best practices in manufacturing environments. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for supply chain issues. Understanding of federal regulations related to government procurement when applicable. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement across diverse teams globally.
