What You'll Do

As General Manager, you'll serve as the operational leader of the Charlottesville branch, responsible for driving financial performance, developing talent, and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience.

You'll oversee every aspect of branch operations while creating a culture built on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Business Leadership

• Own the branch P&L, driving revenue growth, profitability, and EBITDA performance
• Develop and execute strategic business plans that support both short-term objectives and long-term growth
• Monitor key operational and financial metrics to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Identify opportunities to increase market share, productivity, and operational excellence
• Lead change initiatives that improve processes and scalability
• Stay informed on market trends and competitive activity to position the business for continued success

Financial Management

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Analyze business performance and proactively address operational opportunities
• Manage expenses while maximizing profitability and sustainable growth
• Utilize data to make informed business decisions

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, coach, mentor, and retain exceptional talent
• Develop future leaders through consistent coaching and accountability
• Foster a culture centered on teamwork, communication, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace where employees can thrive
• Lead by example while reinforcing NearU's mission, values, and customer-first philosophy

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and other business leaders
• Share best practices across NearU's growing network of brands
• Support regional initiatives and collaborate with other markets as business needs evolve

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience in a fast-paced service organization
• Home services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related industry experience preferred
• Proven success managing P&L performance and growing revenue
• Strong operational leadership with demonstrated business acumen
• Experience leading multiple departments and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and financial management skills
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities
• Executive presence with a hands-on leadership style
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment
