Outside Sales Executive (Indianapolis)

We have partnered with a growing Chicago-based b2b company in their expansion into the Indianapolis market.

We are looking to hire a driven, competitive Outside Sales Representative to identify new business opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline, and drive revenue growth within an assigned territory. This is a hunter-focused role for someone who thrives on prospecting, cold calling, building relationships, and closing new business with minimal oversight.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, coachable, and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to take ownership of their performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate New Business: Proactively identify and pursue new customers through cold calling, door-to-door outreach, networking, referrals, and other prospecting activities.

• Build a Sales Pipeline: Independently develop and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

• Own the Sales Process: Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and needs assessment through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.

• Develop Customer Relationships: Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional business.

• Manage an Assigned Territory: Plan and execute an effective territory strategy, prioritizing opportunities and maximizing time spent on revenue-generating activities.

• Drive Revenue Growth: Consistently achieve sales goals through disciplined prospecting, effective selling, and a focus on measurable results.

• Maintain Accurate Records: Track sales activity, pipeline progress, customer interactions, and forecasts using CRM tools.

• Take Ownership of Performance: Monitor results, incorporate feedback, and continuously improve sales effectiveness.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B sales, business development, or outside sales; highly motivated entry-level candidates with strong potential will also be considered.

• Demonstrated willingness to prospect independently through cold calling, in-person outreach, and other proactive business development methods.

• Competitive, self-starting mindset with a strong work ethic and a desire to achieve measurable goals.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.

• Coachable and accountable, with the ability to receive feedback, stay organized, and work independently.

• Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with limited reliance on warm leads or day-to-day supervision.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout an assigned territory.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree, prior experience in a structured sales training environment, or a competitive athletic background is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Opportunity

• Competitive base salary with an uncapped commission structure.

This position is hybrid of two days in the corporate office and three on the road.
