Accounting Firm - Manhattan
Job Description Small NYC business management firm seeks an experienced senior accountant for a long‑term position. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and forward‑facing, and needs little handholding. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records, precise data entry, bank account reconciliation. Prepare and report P&L, budget, and compare financial records. Prepare tax returns for corporations and partnerships, including Schedule C and K‑1s. Handle tax preparation for personal and corporate returns, entering data into CCH Axcess tax software. Schedule & Compensation 12–16 hours per week, one day in‑office and one day remote. Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Qualifications & Skills Enrolled Agent preferred. Experience compiling and preparing financial data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel. Working knowledge of CCH Axcess tax software; QuickBooks Desktop & Online, XERO accounting software a plus. Self‑directed, analytical thinker. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
