Sign Maker/Graphic Designer

Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Sign Maker / Graphic Designer with a strong background in both sign design and sign production . The right candidate will be equally comfortable creating layouts for customer approval and producing finished signs in the shop. This is not a marketing or general graphic design role — all design experience must be directly related to signage . Responsibilities Design signage concepts and production files using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and FlexiSIGN. Prepare and produce signs using a wide range of substrates, vinyl, laminates, and adhesives. Operate and maintain large-format printer, plotter, and laminator. Apply digital prints and cut vinyl to rigid substrates and panels with precision. Perform light installations such as applying vinyl to windows/doors and mounting dimensional letters on interior walls. Ensure accuracy, quality, and on-time completion of multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Maintain accurate job records and documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area. Provide occasional front-end customer support (phone or in-person) with professionalism and product knowledge. Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and techniques in sign design and manufacturing. Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in sign making and sign-related design. Proven hands-on expertise with FlexiSIGN, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop in sign design and production. Strong knowledge of sign materials, substrates, vinyl, and fabrication techniques. Experience with large-format printing, cutting, laminating, and finishing. Solid understanding of color theory and color management. Hands-on experience applying vinyl graphics and mounting dimensional signs. Valid NJ driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle for local travel to job sites (mileage reimbursed). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Benefits Competitive compensation package.
