Snelling is currently recruiting a Collections Specialist for an amazing company in the Homewood area! Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing payments accurately, managing delinquent accounts, and providing timely follow-up with clients and supervisors.

Starting Pay for Collections Specialist: $18.00-20.00.00/hr

Hours: 8:00 am -5:00 pm, with some overtime if needed, possibly at the end of the month

Duties and Responsibilities for Collections Specialist:

• Deliver high-quality service and support to taxpayers and clients.
• Respond to taxpayer correspondence promptly and maintain detailed documentation and notes.
• Research and send invoices in a timely manner.
• Investigate delinquent accounts and apply assessments.
• Handle a high volume of outbound calls professionally and efficiently.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding overdue accounts.
• Process payments, accept phone payments, document collections activity, and identify alternative revenue opportunities.

Experience & Abilities Required for Collections Specialist:

• Minimum of 2 years in an office environment with significant phone-based communication (inbound/outbound).
• At least 3 years of experience in customer service.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections.
• Strong data entry skills, including 10-key proficiency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Alabama Sales and Use Tax is required.
