Key Position Details: Allina Health Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant to join the practice at Abbott Northwestern Hospital (Minneapolis) and United Hospital (St. Paul). Rounding only 1.0 position / 40 hours per week 10-hour days Inpatient and Outpatient position Position includes weekend rotation, approximately 1 weekend per month EMR: Excellian is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation Job Description: Principle Responsibilities: Completes comprehensive patient assessments.​ Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear. Participates in health care team. Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff. Acts as resource to members of the team. Required Qualifications: Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Experience in Critical Care required

Preferred Qualifications: New graduates may be considered with relevant experience. Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain) BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges. Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI) Physical Demands: Medium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
