NPL Fleet Mechanic

Mechanics perform maintenance service on construction vehicles and large equipment and machines. Maintenance and repair of small engines, both gas and diesel. Perform preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment. Maintain inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered, and part inventories. Coordinate work with operations and maintains communication for scheduling repairs and PMs. Provide after-hours support for critical timelines when needed. Diagnose and correct electrical problems. Use of pneumatic tools for construction equipment. Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

High School Diploma or equivalent. General knowledge of construction related equipment. Existing CDL or ability/willingness to obtain Class A CDL.

Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice. Work is performed within the "red zone" of heavy equipment. Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
