Responsibilities Act as a software detective, providing dynamic service by identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with and managing the team to perform effectively, taking responsibility for team decisions, engaging with multiple teams, and contributing to key decisions. Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. Develop deep expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex software issues to ensure system reliability and performance. Support and guide colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices related to application support and database management. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to influence and improve system design and operational processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of support strategies by analyzing recurring problems and proposing innovative solutions. Monitor system health and performance metrics to proactively identify potential risks and implement preventive measures. Client requires people to work onsite 60% (3 days) and 40% remotely (2 days) per week, with 5 days of Time Away per calendar quarter. Basic Qualifications Minimum 5 years of work experience with MySQL database performance tuning and optimization. Advanced proficiency in MySQL. Minimum associate's degree. Preferred Qualifications Advanced proficiency in MySQL database development. Advanced proficiency in application remediation, engineering support, and database performance tuning.
