Senior Software Engineer - Investment Data Systems

Job OverviewInvestment Data Systems team is responsible for developing technology solutions supporting Arrowstreet Capital’s investment services and operations. We leverage technology to automate business processes introducing solutions using a combination of custom development and packaged platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, team-oriented hands-on engineer who enjoys working on complex problems as part of a team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing software solutions which take complex investment processes and bring them to life. Responsibilities Engage with business and technology leaders to understand strategy, articulate solution options and evaluate tradeoffsLead adoption of cloud-native technology designs and solutionsDeliver high-quality value-added enhancements to existing platformsAutomate the software development, testing and deployment processParticipate as an engaged member of an agile development teamCollaborate with other groups including developers, DBAs, network engineers, quality assurance and third-party vendors / consultantsEmbrace development best practices including continuous delivery, test automation, containerizationCreate and maintain documentation that is thorough, complete, and of a professional caliberSupport production escalations with urgencyQualificationsDegree in Computer Science or related fieldHands-on coding experience with Python and/or C# .Net CoreCollaboration mindsetStrong, creative problem-solving abilitiesStrong background in modern technology including design, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming, and an understanding and adherence to standard design principlesExperience with unit testing, isolation frameworks, and behavior/domain driven developmentTechnology stack development experience in: AWS Services, S3, Lambda, ALB, Cloudwatch, SNSServer side development in Python, REST APUWeb development using Angular, React, or similar modern UI frameworkExperience with CI/CD pipelines.The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $165,000 per year.Arrowstreet Capital operates a robust talent acquisition program, and we also seek to compensate and reward our employees competitively within our industry and in line with our merit-based culture. Our approach to total compensation includes base salaries and annual discretionary bonuses, as well as a robust benefits package.
