Position Description: About us:Summerfield Property Management (SPM) is a growing property management firm committed to providing quality living experiences for our residents. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential properties and are seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain our high standards of service and property care.Key Responsibilities:Conduct all business in accordance with SPM's policies and procedures, as well as Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, OSHA, and all applicable federal and state laws.Complete service requests per work order, scheduling around resident convenience where possible and leaving work areas clean upon completion.Perform regular inspections of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment, reporting needed repairs to the Community Director.Remain available for emergencies, with working knowledge of power, water, and gas shutoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants, as well as emergency contact procedures.Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Full-time maintenance experience, with familiarity in electricity, plumbing, and carpentry.Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances.Available to work 40 hours per week on a flexible schedule, including weekends.Proficiency with personal computers, keyboard use, internet research, basic math, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as Summerfield's internal software applications.Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required; may need to use personal transportation.Benefits:Health, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Basic and voluntary life insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverage15 paid days off in the first yearOpportunities for internal promotionSPM is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
