Planner IV, V and VI - Oahu (OHHI)

The State of Hawaii seeks Planner IV, V, and VI positions based on Oahu to develop legislative and administrative plans for the physical, environmental, social, and economic development of Hawaii. Planners at Level IV conduct planning projects and promote agency relationships; Level V conducts studies and prepares plans for geographic areas and major concerns; and Level VI supervises major planning projects or serves as planner-in-charge for significant state initiatives. Positions require a bachelor's degree and 2.5 to 4.5 years of progressively responsible professional planning experience involving data analysis, policy development, and plan formulation. Key Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university 2.5 years specialized planning experience for Level IV; 3.5 years for Level V; 4.5 years for Level VI Experience in collection and evaluation of physical, social, economic and environmental data Demonstrated ability to integrate information and develop policy options and alternatives for action Experience advising agencies on planning concepts and presenting plans to decision-makers For Level VI: at least one year of experience comparable to Planner V level #J-18808-Ljbffr DGS Office of External Affairs
