Law Clerk Supporting the FBI

This position will will be assigned to the Legal Forfeiture Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management of forfeiture cases for his/her team, conducting research and legal reviews, drafting legal documents, etc.
• Under supervision, assists attorneys with the litigation process.
• Reviews work of paralegals and clerks.
• Prepares all documents related to the litigation process to include drafting motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.
• Screens documents for privilege.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirnment:

• The ideal candidate will be organized, possess strong writing skills, and communicate effectively with members of the unit and other individuals throughout the FBI.

Requirements

• Law Degree: or currently a student at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one-year completed
• Experience conducting legal research using various research tools and law library resources
• Excellent communication skills; oral and written, to include legal writing skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other common software applications, to include databases
• Ability to work in a team environment, deliver the highest quality of work, and maintain a professional disposition under extreme pressure

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.

** NOTE: The 20% pay differential is dependent upon the customer's order for services and requires an Active Top-Secret security clearance.

Target salary range: $72,810 - $83,725 . The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
