As a Safety Coordinator, you'll help ensure our environmental and occupational health and safety programs are maintained to the highest standards. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to support compliance, drive continuous improvement, and promote a safe and healthy workplace.

What You'll Do

• You'll coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials in and out of the facility. This includes preparing shipping documentation, maintaining FIFO processes, and scheduling and communicating with carriers to support outbound and inbound logistics activities.
• You'll create bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and dispatch orders while maintaining shipping logs and inventory records. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, purchasing, accounting, warehouse staff, and external carriers to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, and maintain workflow continuity.
• You'll also support inventory control and storage planning by tracking material movement, assisting with inventory counts, processing return material authorizations (RMAs), and executing warehouse transfers. In this role, you'll generate reports to support scheduling decisions and ensure efficient material flow across the operation.
• In addition, you'll contribute to compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and related standards) by following established procedures, identifying risks, and reporting hazards or incidents in alignment with company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving or logistics environment, preferably coordinating or scheduling shipments
• Experience with Microsoft Office and logistics/ERP systems (e.g., iRen, scanners, JCOM, ASN programs)
• Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills
• Ability to manage shipping documentation, inventory tracking, and reporting activities

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments and requires regular interaction with warehouse operations. You may be exposed to noise, temperature variations, moving mechanical equipment, and airborne particles.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials (up to 60 lbs occasionally). The role also requires the ability to use computer systems and maintain visual focus for documentation and inventory tracking.
