HireIQ is partnering with a large, established New York construction and development organization to hire an experienced Senior Project Accountant.
The business has more than 200 employees, over $2B in completed projects and 12.5M+ square feet of completed work , offering exposure to significant projects and a highly established platform.

The Role
You will take ownership of the accounting and financial management of multiple projects, including:
- Job costing and project financial reporting
- Project budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
- Construction draws and project billing
- Subcontractor invoices and payments
- Commitments, purchase orders and change orders
- WIP and project profitability analysis
- Lien waivers and project documentation
- Cash-flow monitoring
- Reconciliations and month-end close support
- Project closeout
- Working directly with Project Managers to identify financial risks and issues
What They Need
- 5+ years of accounting experience within construction, development or a xhyhwjd similar project-based environment
- Strong construction accounting and job-costing knowledge
- Experience with project budgets, billing, draws, commitments and change orders
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with construction or real-estate accounting systems preferred
- Ability to independently manage the financial side of multiple projects
