About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Step-Down unit within a Level II Trauma Center setting
• Manage patients requiring cardiac drips and post cath lab procedural care
• Care for patients with trach/vent needs in accordance with unit protocols
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4
• Float between units as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend coverage - expected 6 weekend shifts per schedule period

• Active RN license required ; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of IMC / PCU / Stepdown experience required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal - post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (Charge RNs and Leads are acceptable)

• Prior experience in a high-acuity step-down or progressive care environment
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic management
• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management

• Work within a large, well-established acute care facility - a Level II Trauma Center with nearly 400 staffed beds
