Job Summary

Responsible for joining metal parts together to create products or structures using a variety of welding techniques.

Essential Functions:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding plans to determine the appropriate welding technique and materials needed.
• Setting up welding equipment and ensuring it is in proper working order.
• Welding and fusing metal parts together using a variety of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Inspecting and testing welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintaining and repairing welding equipment as needed.
• Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing welding tasks.
• Communicating with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to ensure welding projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials: Experience in a related role. 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in using a variety of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding plans.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Completion of a welding program at a trade school or vocational school.
