Manager - Facilities

Description Manages all activities in the Facilities department (including Maintenance and Housekeeping). Direct all work, assign projects, and oversee staff. Provides outstanding guest service to internal and external guests. Responsibilities Ensure consistent high-quality service to all our team members and guests. Set and maintain guest services standards and ensure team members perform those standards to achieve a favorable gaming experience for guests. Oversight of all construction projects up to and including obtaining bids and awarding contracts. Manage relationships with property vendors. Develop and manage the departmental budget, including capital expenditure. Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance. Manage escalated guest service issues appropriately and discreetly. Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedures regarding limitations. Communicates pertinent information to senior staff, surveillance, or other necessary team members that is important to the operation of the casino. Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies. Ensure satisfaction with guests Follow lawful directions from supervisors Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements. Interact well with others and be a positive influence on team member morale. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change. Supervisory Qualifications Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Competencies Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, customer service, written and verbal communication skills. Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Must have a professional demeanor and presence with the ability to interact with guests and team members in the Company. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The representative requirements of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All team members must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Work Environment A casino environment exposed to bright flashing lights, noise, smoke and varied temperatures. Use of elevator and stairs. May include a boat and/or floating barge. A restaurant environment with varied noise levels, variable temperatures, wet areas, and smoke. A kitchen environment with a variety of workstations and storage areas, exposed to varied temperatures, smoke, steam, noise, and wet areas. May also work in a banquet/showroom environment with varied noise levels and temperatures, wet areas, and exposure to low-level lights. May also work in the hold areas of the boat, which may include confined spaces, permit required. May occasionally be in an outdoor environment, exposed to varied weather conditions. Qualifications Education Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering (required) High School (required) Experience 2 years: Experience managing a complex facility, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
