Bookkeeper/Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager, or an Accountant, for a contract-to-hire opportunity, on the Southside of Richmond, VA.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant for an office-based, contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong QuickBooks Desktop experience who can manage the full accounting cycle with accuracy, confidentiality, and independence.

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close

• Handle job costing, project accounting, AIA billing, retainage tracking, and cash flow reporting

• Oversee payroll processing, tax filings, 1099s, compliance documents, and financial reporting for leadership

• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience required; construction or manufacturing experience preferred

• Strong QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise experience is required, as well as other billing systems like Oracle

• Knowledge of job costing, Excel, construction billing practices, and a high level of detail and confidentiality

This is an in-office role reporting to ownership/leadership. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check. The work environment is industrial office-based, with occasional exposure to dust or dirt.

Contract Pay: $24-$26/hour

Permanent Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000

Benefits upon hire include: health insurance with 70% employer-paid employee coverage, low-cost vision and dental, life insurance, AD&D, 401(k), PTO, and 5 paid holidays.
