Project Manager

Description


The Project Manager is responsible for developing client relationships, managing HVAC construction projects from estimating through closeout, and serving as the primary customer contact for customers. This role oversees project financial performance, coordinates field operations, manages contracts and change orders, and collaborates across engineering, purchasing, accounting, construction, and service teams to deliver successful projects.

Schedule & Travel:

• Monday-Friday; hours vary based on project needs.
• Travel to regional offices and job sites as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from estimating and proposal development through execution and closeout.
• Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contracts, procurement, scheduling, and project execution.
• Coordinate field labor and installation sequencing with construction leadership.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, cost controls, billing, and change orders.
• Develop client relationships and new business opportunities.
• Lead customer meetings and coordinate Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service teams.
• Mentor team members and support recruiting, training, and coaching.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of HVAC estimating, design, or project management experience.
• Experience managing projects from $50K to $25M+.
• Strong business development, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet, or similar software preferred.
• Valid California Class C driver's license.
