Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake and forming equipment to bend and fabricate sheet metal and custom trim components. You will read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements, adjust machine settings to achieve accurate angles and tolerances, perform quality checks on finished products, and work with various materials including steel and aluminum. You will assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Bend and fabricate sheet metal and custom trim components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements.
• Adjust machine settings for accurate angles and tolerances.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Work with various materials including steel and aluminum.
• Assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

• Experience in machine operation within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Proficiency in reading and following blueprints.
• Familiarity with press brake, brake press, trim brake, and trim carpentry.

• Background in sheet metal, roofing, or structural components.
• Experience with custom fabrication or production work.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing/production setting in an open bay, outdoor shop that is non-air conditioned. It is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, involving hands-on roles with physical activity and material handling.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Gibsonton,FL.
