Job Description

This role focuses on setting up and operating press brake and forming equipment to bend and fabricate sheet metal and custom trim components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator reads and interprets blueprints and measurements, adjusts machines for precise angles and tolerances, and performs quality checks to ensure accurate, high-quality products. The position works with various metals, supports additional fabrication tasks, and helps maintain a safe and organized production area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake and forming equipment according to work orders and production requirements.
• Bend and fabricate sheet metal and custom trim components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements to determine fabrication requirements.
• Use a tape measure and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve precise angles, bends, and tolerances for various materials.
• Perform regular quality checks on finished products to confirm they meet specifications and standards.
• Work with a variety of materials, including steel and aluminum, in both custom and production runs.
• Assist with additional fabrication tasks and related production duties as needed to support the team.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment to meet deadlines and production goals.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with trim work or trim carpentry in a fabrication or construction setting.
• Comfort working with steel, aluminum, and other metal materials.
• Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and support multiple fabrication tasks.
• Willingness to cross-train in different departments within the manufacturing team.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing and production setting with an open bay, outdoor-style shop that is not air-conditioned. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and supporting production goals. This is a hands-on position that involves regular physical activity and handling of materials such as sheet metal, steel, and aluminum. Employees work around fabrication and forming equipment and are expected to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate work attire and protective gear suitable for a production shop environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Gibsonton,FL.
