The Residential Structured Finance business focuses on originating and executing a variety of residential mortgage transactions, such as securitizations on behalf of clients as well as Goldman Sachs, advisory assignments, warehouse and term financing, and whole loan principalling. The business operates across the broad spectrum of products / asset classes within housing and mortgage finance. The role will involve the sourcing, structuring, and marketing of securitizations, warehouse and term financings, principal transactions, and advisory assignments. Scope of Role:Active client engagement on an ongoing basis including sourcing new opportunities, execution of live deals, and managing client relationships.Structure and execute mortgage finance transactions, including negotiation of terms and the review of deal documentation Perform due diligence on transactions including market research, on-site evaluation, analytical risk-based modeling and asset valuation work, and assessment of legal, regulatory compliance and other risks.Product development – Collaborate to monitor market developments and devise novel and unique features to optimize securitization and bilateral financing structures; understanding the implication of and solving regulatory, structural and market challengesModel and research development – Work to develop financial models in support of transaction execution, rating agency interactions and investor dialogueCommunication - Ability to interact with external clients, investors, rating agencies, accountants, other deal parties and internal teams regarding overall transaction and related details. We expect that this professional will be a key part of our client franchise and will participate in and travel to meetings and client eventsMinimum education and experience required: Vice President: Bachelor’s degree plus 8-10+ years of non-agency Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities experience or related experienceQualifications / Skills required:Structured products experience and demonstrated knowledge of fixed income marketsDemonstrated financial modeling skills to understand and develop deal structure and cash flow waterfall models for revolving and amortizing transactionsExperience using Intex and Bloomberg.Experience evaluating non-agency mortgage-backed securities and mortgage credit riskAbility to communicate and work under tight timeframes with external clients and internal teamsEnthusiastic, proactive team player that will drive transactions and projectsSalary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$250000.
