Job DescriptionCapital Solutions originates, structures, and places private debt and equity capital on behalf of corporate and sponsor-backed clients. Within Capital Solutions, the Infrastructure & Structured Finance Pod raises private capital for clients in a full range of value-add infrastructure subsectors, including digital infrastructure, power, energy, and transportation. Additionally, the Infrastructure & Structured Finance Pod executes asset-based financings, project financings, and esoteric securitizations.Our team works on transactions that provide exposure to various financing products, techniques, and applications, such as project finance loans, equipment finance, rated and unrated ABS, second-lien debt, unitranche debt, mezzanine debt, preferred and equity / equity-linked securities for a variety of uses, including growth capital, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), acquisition finance, refinancings, dividend recapitalizations, and special situations.Members of the Infrastructure & Structured Finance Pod gain significant exposure to their counterparts at private equity firms, companies, and private capital investors. They also work closely with colleagues in the broader Capital Solutions group, as well as Houlihan Lokey’s industry coverage, M&A, financial restructuring, and financial valuation and advisory teams.You will:Work side-by-side with a talented, dedicated staff of senior professionals;Assist with evaluating and structuring customized financing alternatives for clients; Interact with a variety of investors, including commercial banks, infrastructure debt funds, hybrid capital funds, co-investment funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices;Gain hands-on transaction experience by playing an integral role on deal teams from initial pitch through closing;Develop specialized finance and valuation skills relevant to raising capital, including rating agency methodologies for structured and project finance, while building a detailed understanding of key developments in the private capital markets; andInteract with a broad range of businesses across different value-add infrastructure subsectorsThe environment at Houlihan Lokey is collegial and entrepreneurial, and, as such, rewards Vice Presidents with substantial responsibility and interaction with more senior-level professionals.Basic QualificationsUndergraduate and/or postgraduate degree from a strong academic institution6+ years of relevant work experience in similar roles at an investment bank, infrastructure sponsor or credit fund, preferably in a role related to securitized products, ABS, project finance or infrastructure debtAdvanced knowledge of accounting, finance, financial analysis, and valuationAdvanced knowledge of project finance and/or securitization financial modelingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and a proven self-starterAbility to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple project deliverables simultaneouslyA demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staffPreferred QualificationsHands-on transaction experience in project finance, infrastructure debt or structured finance/ABSExperience reviewing and negotiating credit documentsExperience with credit rating agenciesKnowledge of some of the following infrastructure subsectors: digital infrastructure, power, energy, transportation Compensation and BenefitsHoulihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation.
