Staff Accountant

We are looking for an early-career Staff Accountant to join a services organization in Greenwich, Connecticut. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to strengthen their accounting foundation while working alongside experienced finance team members in a collaborative setting. The position offers broad exposure to day-to-day accounting activity, month-end support, and analytical assignments that contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the finance function.Responsibilities:• Record financial activity in the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries with a high level of accuracy.• Review and process vendor invoices and vouchers to support timely and organized accounts payable operations.• Compile schedules, documentation, and supporting workpapers needed for month-end close and related accounting reviews.• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help maintain reliable financial records.• Assist with billing-related tasks and contribute to routine financial reporting and ad hoc analysis as needed.• Participate in special accounting projects and provide support for process improvements within the finance team.• Use Excel and Acumatica to organize data, track transactions, and support daily accounting workflows.• Contribute to corporate tax and sales tax support activities, including preparation assistance and related documentation.
