Pharmacy Technician

Job Title

Major duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Prescription management: Performing prescription order entry, followed by verification by a pharmacist.
Monitoring and reviewing: Conducting laboratory value monitoring, poly-pharmacy reviews, drug utilization evaluations, and pharmacoeconomic reviews to ensure safe and effective medication use.
Patient support: Providing telephone logistical support and facilitating communication regarding prescriptions.
Medication reconciliation: Assisting in reconciling medications under pharmacist oversight.
Provider coordination: Contacting non-VA providers, medical facilities, and the Care in the Community Office to ensure accurate adjudication and processing of prescriptions received from non-VA clinics or providers.

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm
