Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem

Per Diem Respiratory TherapistConversio Health is looking for a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist to help during busy times and cover vacations if available. Hours will vary dependent on availability of candidate(s) and need of company. Work days are Monday-Friday and times typically range between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. depending on company needs.The Respiratory Therapist (RT) collaborates with our clinical team on developing, facilitating, training, and educating patients with chronic respiratory disease using virtual/remote technology.This is a per diem onsite position at our San Luis Obispo, California office that reports to the Clinical Manager.Responsibilities:Deliver Pulmonary Rehabilitation sessions virtually from our San Luis Obispo facilityProvide patients with education and exercise programsDocuments clear and concise notes in the medical recordMaintains strong and current knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation information via lectures, seminars, independent reading, etc.Complies with all company policies, federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements, as applicableMaintain strict confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulationsEducation and licensing expectations:Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy programAssociate's Level DegreeCurrent Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state of CaliforniaCertified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferredStrong knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation is a plusExperience required: 1 year working as a licensed Respiratory TherapistKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficient understanding of medical terminology, health conditions, and regulations as they pertain to the companyKnowledge of chronic respiratory conditions (i.e., COPD, Asthma)Ability to use video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams etc.)Telephonic customer service skills including the ability to make unsolicited calls (telephonic education), while maintaining good etiquette and providing accurate informationMust have demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills as demonstrated by the ability to communicate with coworkers and managersMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient and client experience & outcomes.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Salary Description:The pay scale for this position depends on the candidate's level of certification. The pay scale for Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRTs) is $30-$35/hour and the pay scale for Registered Respiratory Therapists is $34-$42/hour.
