Summary The position requires the incumbent to research and select vendors to solicit quotes and issue purchase orders of medium dollar value and complexity supporting USG and Non‑USG contracts. Typical procurements relate to less complex build‑to‑print assemblies that require specifications and drawings and COTS software licenses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Discuss price, delivery, and vendor/supplier capability with internal customers. Research and identify potential vendors/suppliers. Negotiate price and delivery for responsible commodities. Administrate and maintain purchase orders in compliance with approved procedures. Establish and maintain good vendor relationships and satisfy internal customers. Ensure purchase order file documentation is fully compliant with all required elements to maintain a successful Contractor Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR). Partner with Supplier Quality and Shipping/Receiving to address poor quality, order inconsistencies and damaged products. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma and 3–5 years experience; or BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operation Management, or related field. Preferred Skills Teamwork Detail oriented Time management Analytical thinking Good interpersonal skills MRP knowledge, CostPoint proficiency Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to negotiate medium‑dollar value purchase orders with limited management oversight Ability to complete moderately complex price analysis Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need‑to‑know. Shall not divulge information outside the company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company‑provided resources. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Work Environment Work is performed in a controlled environment with almost no exposure to disagreeable environment conditions. Physical Demands May be required to sit for long periods of time. May be required to climb stairs.
