Senior Key Account Manager, Industrial Water Treatment (Houston)

Senior Key Account Manager Solenis is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Key Account Manager to oversee a large refinery account in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for a technical sales professional who thrives on building strong customer relationships, delivering value‑added solutions, and driving business growth in industrial water treatment. What You’ll Do Manage a key refinery account, developing strong customer relationships through proactive, value-added technical service. Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within the account while prospecting for new business using consultative selling techniques. Review and optimize water treatment programs and processes (cooling systems, boilers, wastewater treatment), ensuring effectiveness through routine monitoring, testing, and program adjustments. Oversee on‑site inventory management, including coordinating chemical orders, deliveries, and proper stock levels. Maintain and grow revenue through strategic account management and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead and manage site priorities and projects, ensuring service delivery meets Solenis standards and customer expectations. Troubleshoot and maintain feed systems, dosing equipment, and utility systems in the field. Conduct regular business reviews, prepare and present technical reports, and lead customer meetings with clear, data-driven insights. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in industrial water treatment sales, with strong knowledge of boiler, cooling, and/or wastewater systems. Demonstrated success managing large industrial or refinery accounts. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field. Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. The expected compensation range for this position is between $88,850.00 and $130,317.00 plus discretionary bonuses.
