Clinical Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, UW Pediatrics, Acute Care Oncology

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital is recruiting a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology attending to join the Acute Care Oncology team in Seattle, Washington. The position is full‑time at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full‑time basis for a twelve‑month appointment renewable beginning fall/winter of 2026. Responsibilities include providing in‑hospital overnight attending care for medical issues arising in Hematology, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients, supervision and clinical teaching of residents, and being comfortable with the inpatient care of sick children. Clinical Assistant Professors, Clinical Associate Professors, and Clinical Professors hold annual appointments that align with a 12‑month service period (July 1 – June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12‑month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12‑month period (July – June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. As the second largest department in the UW School of Medicine, Pediatrics comprises twenty‑one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including roughly 650 paid faculty members, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff employees, and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty. The Department of Pediatrics is a close affiliate of Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI). Faculty members appointed in the department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children’s, UW Medicine, and FHCRC) and are part of the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan. Responsibilities Provide in‑hospital overnight attending care for medical issues arising in Hematology, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients. Provide supervision and clinical teaching to residents. Be comfortable with the inpatient care of sick children. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Candidates will be considered across a range of interests in Hematology and Oncology, including Acute Care Oncology. The base salary range for this position is as follows: Clinical Assistant Professors $13,085 – $19,627 per month ($157,020 – $235,524 annually), Clinical Associate Professors $16,168 – $24,250 per month ($194,016 – $291,000 annually), and Clinical Professors $20,335 – $30,502 per month ($244,020 – $366,024 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range includes the base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to the base salary provided by the University. Only compensation provided by the University is included in university benefit determinations and calculations. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through the Children’s University Medical Group practice plan. Applicants must be currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the state of Washington.
