Accounting Specialist (Payroll & AP)

Accounts Payable & Payroll SpecialistThe Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and accounts payable functions across multiple entities. This role supports financial operations by maintaining precise records, verifying data integrity, and delivering exceptional service to employees and vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in both AP and payroll systems, including Paylocity and Dynamics. This role reports to the Corporate Controller.Responsibilities & Duties:Process accurate and timely payroll for all employeesEnter and verify promotions, transfers, and terminations in Paylocity and DynamicsReview account balances, deductions, and earnings for accuracyIdentify and resolve payroll discrepancies or errorsAudit and validate employee timesheetsEnter payroll data and maintain compliance with company policiesManage direct deposit setup and pre-note processingProcess wage garnishments and maintain required documentationMaintain payroll records, including salaries, bank info, and tax formsManage accounts payable for multiple entities and vendorsProcess invoices, verify approvals, and prepare paymentsReconcile accounts and review purchase orders, pricing, and terms for accuracyRequirements:Minimum Requirements:Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.Bachelor's degree preferred and may be substituted for additional experience.Experience in payroll processing and accounts payable functions.Proficiency with Paylocity and Microsoft Dynamics preferredStrong understanding of payroll regulations, wage garnishments, and compliance requirements.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions.Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionWork Requirements/Condition:Office-based role within a manufacturing environmentMay require extended standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motionsFrequent use of hands for computer work, equipment, and toolAbility to lift 25 lbs. independentlyPPE and company-issued smock/ESD garments required in designated areas
