Previous or current WIC participation or other women from the community with breastfeeding experience and an enthusiasm for breastfeeding may be recruited, hired and trained to be peer counselors. A woman of the community, with similar characteristics (i.e. age, race, cultural ethnicity, education and socioeconomic level) of WIC participants. Has a telephone and is willing to make phone calls from home. Has reliable transportation. Job Type: Part Time Hours: 28 Hours per Week Job Duties Attends breastfeeding training classes to become a peer counselor. Receives a caseload of WIC mothers and makes routine periodic contacts with all mothers assigned. Gives basic breastfeeding information and support to new mothers. Counsels WIC pregnant and breastfeeding mothers by phone, home visits, and/or hospital visits at scheduled intervals determined by the local WIC program. Is available outside the WIC clinic and the usual 8-5 working schedule to new mothers who are having breastfeeding problems. Individuals must demonstrate great cultural and socioeconomic sensitivity to populations served. Salary: $25,600 Home Health RN Department: Home Health Minimum Requirements Valid Illinois RN license One or more years of community health nursing experience. High energy level and empathetic ability in communication and human relations. Must have valid driver’s license, availability of transportation and must have auto insurance. Job Type: Full Time Hours: 35 Hours per Week Job Duties Is informed and involved with initial evaluation, start of frequency of visits and method of payment on all home health clients. Regularly re-evaluates the individual’s nursing needs. Is responsible for maintaining Home Health Program standards as outlined in the Rules and Regulations for Home Health agencies. May perform services in the homes of individuals within designated counties in accordance with the medical treatment plan created by the attending physician in conjunction with the EHD staff. Provides the following services: Evaluates the level of function, follows the plan of treatment, prepares clinical and progress notes, advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel and participates in in-service programs. Maintains an up-to-date clinical record for each patient receiving care. Provides progress notes to the patient’s physician about patients under care when the patient’s condition changes or there are deviations from the plan of care or at least every sixty days. Salary: BSN: $54,000 | $51,000 Janitor Department: Maintenance Minimum Requirements High School Diploma Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. The position will be at the Eldorado office with work at other locations as needed. Must be physically able to climb ladders and some heavy lifting will be required. Related experience preferred. Performs general maintenance and repairs such as painting and replacing fixtures. Helps maintain the agency vehicle fleet including weekly inspections, cleaning vehicles, taking the vehicles for necessary repairs and general maintenance. Some work may be required outside of normal business hours. Must be able to follow confidentiality requirements at all times. Adheres to personnel policies and procedures. Salary: $31,000 Public Health Nurse – RN Minimum Requirements Valid Illinois RN license Job Type: Full Time Hours: 35 Hours per Week Job Duties Reports directly to the Maternal Child Health Coordinator. Perform WIC assessment, nutrition education, counseling, and other requirements as outlined in the state and local WIC policy and procedure manual. Administer WIC benefits and tailor client food packages as appropriate. Perform nursing assessment and other requirements as outlined in the state and local Better-Birth-Outcomes- Comprehensive (BBO-C) Policy and Procedure Manual. Will conduct client appointments in office, by telephone, and/or offsite as needed. Demonstrate a positive and supporting atmosphere for breastfeeding, and will obtain breastfeeding lactation certification when available. Administer and prepare childhood and adult immunizations per CDC and IDPH guidelines. Schedule and perform DNA testing as requested by commercial laboratories. Attend and/or participate in program outreach activities and events. Assist and document client referrals as needed to appropriate providers and/or resources. Salary: BSN: $51,000 | $48,000 School Based Youth Mental Health Professional – Gallatin County School Minimum Requirements Bachelor's/Master's degree, clinical license in the State of IL, and/or certifications in evidence-based practices. Job Type: Full Time Hours: 35 Hours per Week Job Duties Promote healthy social and emotional development in all children and youth served. Provides counseling/therapy services to individuals, groups, families, and classrooms. Provides comprehensive assessment, diagnostic crisis screening, referral services, developmental screenings, and direct therapeutic service to clientele. Provides consultation and support to caregivers and other providers as well as coordinating services to maximize resources and minimize duplication of services for clientele. Prepares client records, reports, data and required statistics in a timely fashion. Salary: Bachelor: $41,000 | Master: $48,000 Substance Use Disorder Counselor Minimum Requirements Degree in a human service field. Must have either an Illinois Certification (ICB) or be able to obtain certification within two years of hire. Other licensures relevant to the position will be considered. Job Type: Full Time Hours: 35 Hours per Week Job Duties Assume case management/therapist responsibilities for a caseload of clients with alcohol and drug related problems. Provide follow-up services to clients discharged from treatment facilities. Conduct substance use disorder groups.
