Remote Procurement Clerk

Description JM Development Services is seeking a Remote Procurement Clerk to join our Procurement team in Santa Fe Springs. This part-time, remote position offers an excellent entry-level opportunity to build a career in procurement within the utilities industry. As a Remote Procurement Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services that keep our operations running efficiently. In this role, you will assist with purchase order processing, vendor communication, record keeping, and inventory tracking. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and accurate documentation, directly contributing to the success of our projects and the reliability of the services we provide to our community. We offer a competitive hourly salary range of $28.71 - $36.49 USD, along with a flexible remote work arrangement and the opportunity to grow within a supportive and collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services Track inventory levels and flag items that require replenishment Verify invoices against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized digital filing systems for contracts and vendor documents Support the procurement team with data entry and reporting tasks Coordinate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs Monitor order status and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries Assist in evaluating vendor performance and maintaining supplier databases Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures Provide general administrative support to the procurement department Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred Entry-level experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel Familiarity with procurement or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to work independently in a remote environment Basic understanding of purchasing processes and vendor management Comfortable working with numbers and reviewing invoices or quotes Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across locations Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced utilities environment #J-18808-Ljbffr J M Development
